In an historical action, directors of the General Board of Global Ministries voted this week to buy the property of Grace United Methodist Church in Atlanta and to relocate its headquarters there from New York City. Bishop Announces Appointment to Cascade UMC

Bishop Mike Watson has announced the appointment of Rev. Lawrence L. Young as pastor of Cascade UMC in Atlanta.   Rev. Young comes to the North Georgia Conference from the Central South District of the Texas Conference where he is currently District Superintendent.    The appointment is effective July 1, 2014.    Rev. Marvin Moss, currently serving Cascade, has been appointed as pastor of Salem UMC in Harlem, New York.
